Macarthur Beekeepers

Welcome to our website

Macarthur Beekeepers Association Inc. has been serving the Macarthur district, looking after bee hives and collecting swarms for many years.

Our members are always ready with help and advice and our aim is to generate an interest in bees and beekeeping.

The Macarthur Beekeepers' Association, a club affiliated with the Amateur Beekeepers' Association of NSW, meets at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living located at 1 Mt Annan Dr, Mt Annan on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm (except November), however due to COVID-19 our meetings are now being conducted online.

Our field days have moved to the second Saturday of the month and a pre-registration system is in place as we have limited spots. To get notified of field day pre-registration and club meetings, subscribe to our mailing list here. Please do not attend the field day if you have not registered.

If you are looking to join our club please click the "Apply to Join" button below. You'll be taken to our membership system run by ABA NSW.

Hello Macarthur Beekeepers

With vaccination rates now above 80% in NSW the government has relaxed a number of restrictions in regard to covid-19.

MBAi Club meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and from December 2021 our meetings will resume with a face to face option whilst also maintaining the option to join live streaming from the Macarthur Centre of Sustainable Living via Google Meet.

Weather permitting our hands on Field Days run on the 2nd Saturday of each month are proving extremely popular and always provided a fun interaction of new and experienced beekeepers hosted at the club apiary also on the ground of the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living. Guest attendance at our field days is restricted to 25% of participants.

Pre-registration the Face to Face component of Club Meetings and Field Days are still required with invitations circulated via email to our members via their registered email accounts. If you are not a member and would like to be included on our email distribution list you can self register your details via this link; Mailing List

As the current club president I’d like to offer my sincere thanks to our Club Officers and Club Members for your ongoing involvement and support of our Club. We value your participation and it is sincerely appreciated.

To all our Beekeeping friends, on behalf of the Macarthur Beekeeping Association I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.

Happy Beekeeping.
