Welcome to our website
Macarthur Beekeepers Association Inc. has been serving the Macarthur district, looking after bee hives and collecting swarms for many years.
Our members are always ready with help and advice and our aim is to generate an interest in bees and beekeeping.
The Macarthur Beekeepers' Association, a club affiliated with the Amateur Beekeepers' Association of NSW, meets at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living located at 1 Mt Annan Dr, Mt Annan on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm (except November), however due to COVID-19 our meetings are now being conducted online.
Our field days have moved to the second Saturday of the month and a pre-registration system is in place as we have limited spots. To get notified of field day pre-registration and club meetings, subscribe to our mailing list here. Please do not attend the field day if you have not registered.
If you are looking to join our club please click the "Apply to Join" button below. You'll be taken to our membership system run by ABA NSW.
Hello Macarthur Beekeepers.
The NSW government has relaxed some of the COVID-19 guidelines for community gatherings etc, which has allowed our Field Days to increase to 30 participants and the face to face component of club meetings to increase to 26. We maintain adherence to our COVID Safe plans including signage, sanitisation stations and social distancing.
Our club meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month are currently also live streamed from the Macarthur Centre of Sustainable Living via Google Meet. Weather permitting our hands on Field Days run on the 2nd Saturday of each month are proving extremely popular and always provided a fun interaction of new and experienced beekeepers hosted at the club apiary at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living.
Pre-registration invitations for the Face to Face component of Club Meetings and our Field Days are circulated via email to our members via their registered email accounts.
A reminder, as both our club meetings and field days are open to members and guests I encourage members to share the meeting invitations and pre-registration links with any non-members they know who have expressed interest in participating.
My thanks to all members for their resilience throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining your support and interest in the club, keeping the enthusiasm and fun happening. As president of the club I’d like to say your ongoing involvement is sincerely appreciated.
To all our Beekeeping friends, on behalf of the Macarthur Beekeeping Association I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year.
MBAi - President.
